Evacuation Squadron
The Aeromedical Evacuation
Squadron provides daily aeromedical evacuation support to the Armed Forces
during peace, crisis or war. Aeromedical evacuation involved
returning patients from around the world, accompanied by a specialist medical
team, using available air assets. The medical care is maintained through
the onward move to the final receiving hospital.

Aeromedical Evacuation
Training provides the RAF with qualified Flight Nursing (FNO), Flight Nurses
(FN) and Flight Nursing Attendants (FNA) who are called upon to aeromedically
recover personnel from around the world.
Deployable
Aeromedical Response Teams
A permanently formed medical
element, providing the initial RAF medical footprint in support of operations
and exercises. A team of 8 personnel are at immediate readiness,
capable of worldwide deployment to deliver role 1 medical care and immediate
aeromedical evacuation capability.
Logistics
Support
Manages, maintains and deploys
the medical and field equipment to support all operations and exercises.
Working closely with internal and external agencies to deliver the most
appropriate equipment to meet the operational time frame.
